Bamboo Rice is an all-natural, gluten free, aromatic, short-grain white rice infused with pure, fresh bamboo. It has a distinct herbaceous bamboo, green tea-like flavor with a light, tender cooked texture that is a pale jade green color.
Rinse 1 cup of rice with cold water in a colander for a few minutes. Add rice to 2 cups of cold water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for 40 minutes. Do not lift the lid during the cooking process. Fluff with a fork before serving. Yields 3 cups cooked.
