Couscous is a hearty pearl-like semolina thats quick to cook and easy to prepare. Our Moroccan Spiced Couscous (Q60) offers the same conveniences as traditional couscous and saves you an additional preparation step by adding our natural, savory seasonings. We flavor our couscous with Ras El-Hanout, a combination of spices indigenous to Morocco, similar to the curries of the Far and Middle East. Ras El-Hanout translates from the Arabic as Top of the Shop, meaning the spices and their subsequent combination are the best available. Our special Ras El-Hanout blend features turmeric, dried chiles, orange peel and mustard to transform plain couscous into a sweet and spicy aromatic treat.
Moroccan Spiced Couscous is perfectly seasoned and ready to serve from the stove to the dinner plate. For a little extra flair, we offer the following additional serving suggestions: Stir in lightly toasted pine nuts, feta cheese and baby spinach or sdd choice of dried fruit and/or nuts to make a healthy side dish or salad.
Bring 1-1/4 cups water to a boil in medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir in 1 cup couscous. Cover and remove from heat. Let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving.
